Avocado oil is produced from the pulp of the avocado. This pulp produces an oil full of healthy fats, including oleic acid which is and essential fatty acid.
Avocado oil is has also been deemed a cholesterol-lowering food because of it’s high monounsaturated oleic acid content, making it a beneficial choice when it comes to heart health. Oleic acid is an omega-9, and has been known to help reduce the risk of heart disease by raising levels of high-density lipoprotein (HDL), also known as “good cholesterol.” The oleic acid in avocado oil is also beneficial because it can lower your low-density lipoprotein (LDL), also known as “bad” cholesterol.
So needless to say adding avocado oil to your diet is a win win!

<h5><p style="color: rgba(20, 117, 135, 1)">Ingredients:</p></h5>
* 1 tablespoon avocado oil
* 1 small onion (finely chopped)
* 1 medium green pepper (finely chopped)
* 1 clove garlic
* 1 pound grass fed ground beef
* 3 tablespoons tomato paste
* ½ cup diced tomatoes
* 8 ounces beef bone broth
* 1 ½ teaspoon chili powder
* 1 teaspoon cumin
* 1 ½ teaspoon salt
* ½ teaspoon pepper

1. In a large stock pot, heat avocado oil over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper and sautée for 1-2 minutes. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and spices.
2. Add ground beef and cook until slightly browned. Stir in tomato paste, tomatoes, and broth.
3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Top with cheese, sour cream, and avocado if desired.
